<Vibrations><Visions><Voices> showcase

Performances by summer camp participants and guests
  • '<vibrations>' -  a movement performance, and a new work, created by young people (ages 3-10), during the summer camp at Peace Rose Montessori School. Facilitator: Karola Luettringhaus with assistance from Amanda Cordova and Rachael Goolsby. Choreography and story by the performers with Karola Luettringhaus. The piece takes audiences on a tour of the school gardens and playground. 
  • '<visions>' - a new work created by Dance Cooperative tween camp participants, with guidance from Charlotte, NC, artist and choreographer and SARUS Festival performer Breanne Horne.
  • '<voices>' - an interactive performance, created by young people (ages 3-10), during the summer camp at Peace Rose Montessori School. Facilitator: Karola Luettringhaus with assistance from Amanda Cordova and Rachael Goolsby. Choreography and story by the performers with Karola Luettringhaus. The piece explores interactions with projections and animations.
  • '<vibrations of the drum>' - Performance an African Dance: Children at Peace Rose will perform a dance that they learned in a workshop with Heather Till and Perry Smith.

  • 'Taking Space': Exhibition of the 25 scene designs that peace Rose students created in a workshop with Karola Luettringhaus, based on books and the stories we find within them. The designs will be hidden across the Peace Rose campus, and we will give you a map or hints, so you can go explore these lovely magical creations on your own.
  • Mingle, chat and exchange with lovely people
  • Dance with us, our team will lead groups of interested participants through learning a folk dance or African Dance
  • find out more about the upcoming SARUS Festival July 6-10, 2016, we will have info laying out and you can buy festival passes and tickets to single events.
